Andrew was a gentle, loving soul who cared and worried about everyone more than himself. Andrew now joins his Heavenly Father, his dad Bobby, his PaPa Gib and Nannie Doris, along with some special friends. The only comfort we have in this most heartbreaking times; is knowing he is at peace in heaven with his father and grandfather. Heaven has never seen the likes of the three of them together; one can only imagine all the playful jokes and laughter. Andrew left behind his beloved mother Ellen, brother and best friend Matthew and his sister Sara; as well as his Mom Mom Anne and countless uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
As we all know, Andrew was a simple person and would want a simple farewell, so the celebration of his life will be private. He loved all creatures great and small, so for those compelled to honor him in some way; please give to any animal rescue or wildlife preserve, perhaps an animal shelter, the humane society, North Carolina Zoo, Tiger rescue, etc.
We little knew that morning
God was to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
