

Angelo Antonio Ditaranto, of Cary, North Carolina, passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on May 13, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, Angelo lived a full and meaningful life marked by dedication to family, faith, and community.
Angelo’s early years were shaped in Brooklyn, where he attended St. Patrick's Catholic School and later Brooklyn Technical High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Staten Island Community College. His professional career was spent with JP Morgan Chase Bank, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 1991.
From 1961 to 1966, Angelo served in the United States Military Reserves at Fort Dix, New Jersey. His commitment to service extended beyond his military years into his spiritual life and community involvement. In 2007, he became a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary Magdalene Roman Catholic Church in Apex, North Carolina. Through this organization, Angelo participated in numerous events and found great fulfillment in giving back.
Angelo was a devoted husband to his wife of 62 years, Donna. Together they built a loving family that includes their daughter Lori Kubik and her husband Joseph; their son Stephen Ditaranto and his wife Shari; and four cherished grandchildren: Matthew Ditaranto, Megan Ditaranto, Sarah Kubik, and Stephen Kubik.
He was preceded in death by his, parents and his sisters, Angie and Ida.
In addition to his professional accomplishments and community service, Angelo enjoyed an active lifestyle. He found joy on the golf course and softball field—pastimes that brought him both relaxation and camaraderie.
Angelo’s legacy is one of steadfast devotion—to his family, his faith, and the values he held dear. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM at St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Apex NC
In lieu of customary remembrances memorial contributions can be donated to St Jude's Children's Hospital or Tunnel to Towers (T2T) .
