Anna Benson Wanner, 95, of Fuquay Varina died Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Rex Nursing Care of Apex. Mrs. Wanner was born on January 12, 1916 to Louis Benson and Kathryn Brown Benson in Chester, PA. She was licensed for 37 years as an AKC judge, judging dog shows in the US as well as Internationally.
She is survived by her daughter: Lynne Meeks and husband, Darryl of Fuquay Varina; son: George John Wanner, Jr and wife Laurel of Greenville, SC; grandchildren: Darryl Meeks, Jr, Whitney Meeks, George John Wanner, III and Alita Wanner; and a great granddaughter: Sarah Wanner.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 6 pm Wednesday, August 17 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. Apex. A memorial service will begin at 6 pm in the chapel of Apex Funeral Home.
