Conrad was born on August 20, 2020 to parents, Grant and Michelle Duncklee of Chapel Hill.
Every day was a gift with Conrad. He was known for his glowing smile and unwavering love for his family. He enjoyed lots of snuggles, dancing around the kitchen with his daddy (especially to the Madagascar 2 Soundtrack), watching big sister Josie play and dance and be silly, and naps in his mommy’s embrace. He loved long walks with his Grandma almost every day; he was her favorite walking buddy. Conrad also enjoyed sitting on his Pop Pop’s lap during video calls with colleagues; Pop Pop was so proud to show him off to his staff.
Conrad is lovingly remembered and will forever be missed by his parents, Grant and Michelle Duncklee; sister, Josephine Duncklee; paternal grandparents David and Pamela Duncklee; maternal grandparents Albert Rossetti and Nancy Roy.
Thank you to the PCICU Team at UNC-CH Children’s Hospital, and all doctors, nurses, and supporting staff that allowed us to extend our time with our sweet Conrad. He was well-loved by all and we find comfort in knowing everyone fought so hard for him.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities. We were fortunate to be close to a hospital of UNC’s quality to extend and cherish our time with Conrad. Many families without this proximity advantage must travel hours to be with their child. Please consider a donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities to allow more families to be present with their critically ill children.
Condolences may be shared at apexfuneral.net
