Cindy was born in Teaneck, NJ and lived in various locations in the area until she moved with her family to Holly Springs in 2005. She was never fond of working and used to joke that it wasn’t fair that she had to. For the past nine years she excelled at her job at American Airlines and loved helping military travelers because they were so kind and well-mannered and the elderly because they were so appreciative of her patience. Her favorite job was the 11 years she spent as a stay-at-home Mom to her two boys, a position she mastered and continued to hold until her passing.
Cindy enjoyed the outdoors but didn’t necessarily like to be in it, although her fondest memories of traveling mostly took place outside. Enjoying the beauty of Bermuda, looking for shells in Sanibel, eating breakfast croissants in Paris, walking through Amsterdam, gazing at tulip fields from the train in the Dutch countryside, sitting in the ocean in Key West, drinking coffee while being surrounded by the red rocks of Sedona, riding in the car up the mountain heading to App State, and just wondering at the awesome enormity of the Grand Canyon. She also loved watching television and it was normal to have three on at the same time in different rooms and on different channels. She was an avid reader who would always turn to the end before starting to try and guess what the last word was.
She is going to be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, David; sons, Maxwell of Charlotte and Joshua of Raleigh; mother, Joan Scully of Hilton Head; her beloved cats Birdie and Lil Bear; and many other family and friends.
Services will be private. In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be donated to the Carolina Tiger Rescue in her honor.
Fond memories and expressions of condolences can be shared at apexfuneral.net for the Noordeloos family.
