Dorothy Schroeder

She lived a long, beautiful life surrounded by her son, Glenn, and daughter-in-law Robin Schroeder. Her Grandchildren, Christine and Jesse Pape, and Bryan and Jennifer Schroeder. Dottie also was a caring Great Grandmother to Aiden (13), Audrey (7), and Lincoln (3). Dorothy grew up in Ozone Park, NY, the eldest of 5, the only girl, with 4 brothers. In 1946 Dorothy married Arthur Schroeder. Their love story was one for the ages. They grew their family and worked hard to provide an amazing life for their family. When Arthur passed away, Dottie moved in with her son and daughter-in-law and continued to spread love and happiness to her great-grandchildren. Everyone that met her felt her wonderful spirit, she will be missed.

A celebration of her life is scheduled for Sunday, September 18th, 11-3, at the Schroeder home.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to 2 Paws Up (Dorothy was able to share her last years with her close companion Kloie, thanks to the help and care of this organization); Dorcas (When she was physically able, Dorothy volunteered at this important ministry); or No Kid Hungry.
