Edmund Paul Kaminski, Ph.D., former resident of Littleton, Colorado, passed away suddenly at his home in Holly Springs, North Carolina on December 18, 2017, at the age of 65. Ed was born and raised in the Cleveland, Ohio area and graduated from Brush High School, in 1970. He was a graduate of Cleveland State University and received his PhD from Michigan State University in 1978.
Ed had a passion for learning and teaching. He was on the faculty at Kent State, The University of New Mexico, and Ball State University, and was a U.S. Government Consultant. He left teaching in 1992 to work at U.S. West in Boulder, Colorado and became an executive Director with Media One International in Sydney, Australia. He returned to Colorado in 2000 and resumed his work as a U.S. government contractor specializing in Homeland Security Services.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 10 years, and devoted friend for 38 years, Sonja (Bokoch Frandsen); loving father of Christopher Kaminski (Molly), Stacey Kaminski (Joe), and loving step-father of Mark Frandsen (Jordan) and Michelle Larson (John); Son-in-law of Sophia Bokoch; Brother of Laurie Saldarini (Joseph), Robert Winkler (Arlene) and Jules Winkler (Dianne) and cherished grandfather of Kyra Kaminski and Luke and Jack Larson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in Ed’s name to the SPCA of Wake County, 200 Pet Finder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.
