Gerald Carmon Bowser

Gerald C. Bowser, 68, of Apex, died Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the William M. Dunlap Center for Caring in Raleigh. He was born January 20, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, MI. He was the son of Silas Carmon Bowser and Elizabeth Matilda Webb.

Jerry married Jenny Barnes on May 6, 1979 in Raleigh. He was a member of Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church and retired in 2007 from P & A Smith after 14 years. He enjoyed boating and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother, his wife Jenny, children, Shelly Bowser Jackson and husband James of Apex and Jeremy Carmon Bowser of New Hill, NC; grandchildren, Paige Bowser, Thomas Jackson, and Mason Jackson; sister, Barbara Bowser Tilmann of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; brother, Harold Junior Bowser and wife Mary of San Manuel, AZ. He was predeceased by his father in 1996.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 2 PM at Kirk of Kildaire Church, 200 High Meadow Drive, Cary, NC 27511. Burial will follow at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Monday evening, December 6, from 6-8PM at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams Street (Hwy 55), Apex as well as on Tuesday, from 1 PM until 1:45 PM in the church fellowship hall.
