Han Sik Kim, 87, passed away on December 6, 2024. He was born on September 12, 1937, in Gangjin-gun, South Korea, the youngest of three siblings. Prior to immigrating to the United States, he met his first wife, Claire in Canada. They later immigrated to Chicago, IL and raised their daughter Alice. He met his second wife, Joanne, while working as a computer programmer. Han and Joanne moved to Apex, NC where they enjoyed the pond and natural beauty on their property.
Han is survived by his wife, Joanne; daughter Alice and her husband Vincent, along with two granddaughters Laura and Kathryn.
He had a life-long passion for photography. He enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears. He also very much loved his cats Etta, Benny, June, Angel, Aretha, Elton, Bernie, Timothy, Tara, and Sylvester.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the ASPCA.
