

On April 17th, 2014, our precious Daddy, James Franklin Yarborough, Sr., went to be with his Lord and Savior. He was predeceased by his loving wife, soul mate, and our sweet Mama, Addie Jane Baker Yarborough, on November 1, 2013, and reunited with her in Heaven on their 74th wedding anniversary!
Daddy was born on November 25, 1920 to Rowena Watson and Archibald Murphy Yarborough in Wake Forest, N.C. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the US Army, a member of the Holly Springs Masonic Lodge #115, serving as Past Master and Treasurer, and served as Deacon of the Holly Springs Baptist Church. He was active in his community, and was instrumental in helping to organize the first Holly Springs Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include son, Jimmy Yarborough (Beth), seven daughters, Liz Barnes (Gordon), Patsy Edwards (Ken), Jackie McLean (Ralph), Madge Hinsley (Ronald), Bet Holleman, Nancy Perry (Charlie) Kim Vuncannon (Danny), one brother, John Yarborough (Maxine) and sisters-in-law, Mabel Seawell and Rebecca Yarborough. He was also blessed with 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held Monday, April 21, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation for family and friends 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Fuquay Varina.
