Jerry Alan Carlson

Jerry Alan Carlson, 54, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 27, 2012. Jerry leaves behind his wife of 18 years, Rebecca Thompson Carlson, and his two sons, Justin Donald and Jordan Alexander. In addition, Jerry is survived by his mother, Verla Fisher Carlson, brother, James LaVerne Carlson and wife, Karen Alice Carlson and his niece Vivian Jean Carlson. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Don B.R. Carlson.

Jerry was born and raised in Gering, Nebraska and graduated from Gering High School in 1976. He attended college in Billings, Montana and then relocated to the Denver, Colorado area where he enjoyed a long and successful career in selling medical supplies. Jerry and his family then moved to Apex, North Carolina where he recently was a manager at Home Depot. Jerry was a lifelong fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and NASCAR and an avid golfer.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 1, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the Apex Funeral Home in Apex, North Carolina. A short reception with the family will follow the memorial service. A private family cremation is to occur prior to the memorial service.
