Jimmie Rankin Whitt Jr.

Jimmie was born in August 14, 1955 in Burlington, NC to the late Jimmie Rankin Whitt Sr. and Barbara Thompson Whitt. Jimmie was a 1973 graduate of Cary High School. He was also a member of the baseball team at Cary High School. He was a diehard Atlanta Braves fan. He also enjoyed watching the Nashville Predators. He loved spending time with his daughter. He would take her to Disney and also to various concerts. He was very proud of her. Jimmie was a project manager for most of his working career for various mechanical contractors. Most recently he was employed by Morelli HVAC.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. He was also preceded in death by numerous aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his brother Thomas Whitt of Cary, NC, daughter Mickayla Rankin Whitt of Waverly, TN/ Chicago, IL, Ex Spouse Kelly Whitt of Waverly, TN and grandcat Ophelia.

A graveside service officiated by Wolf Wendlandt will be held on Friday, January 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Apex Cemetery, Apex, NC where Jimmie will be laid to rest.
