JoAnn Marie Lincourt

JoAnn Marie Lincourt, 52, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Duke University Medical Center following a long battle with cancer. Born on August 4, 1962 in Binghamton, NY; she met and married William R. Lincourt and together they raised two children in Cary, NC.

She graduated from Harpursville High School and Cazenovia College. JoAnn worked in the Wake County Public School System for many years, most recently at Dillard Drive within the Special Education Program. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and anything that had to do with her husband and children.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband: William “Bill” Lincourt; children: William J. “Billy” Lincourt and Sarah Ann Lincourt, all of Cary; her mother: Charlotte Parker, of Binghamton, NY; siblings: Robert and Barbara Warpus, of Castle Creek, NY, Kenneth Warpus, of Binghamton, NY, Charles and Evelyn Warpus, of Medford Lakes, NJ and Terri and Jerry Sreclnicki, of Binghamton, NY; nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Family will receive friends on Friday evening, June 26th, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Apex Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory are preferred to Duke Cancer Institute at www.gifts.duke.edu/dci or the Caring Community Foundation, LLC at www.caringcommunityfoundation.org
