John Anthony "Tony" Powell

John Anthony Powell (Tony) died in his sleep March 19, 2016, at the age of 46. He fought a long and courageous battle with illness. His battle ended as he took his journey from earth to be with his loving Lord Jesus Christ.

He was a loving Father, husband, son, and friend to many people. He is survived by his Wife, Beth Powell, Children, Taylor Powell and Hannah Powell, Father, John Powell, Step-Mother Carolyn Powell, Step-Father Les Struck, and many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Brenda Struck.

Growing up on a farm in Apex, Tony loved to work in the soil. He loved his motor cross riding as a young man. He graduated from Apex High School and moved on to assisting his Father in earth moving and was an estimator for potential jobs.

The visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 6 – 8 PM at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W Williams St, Apex NC 27502 and the funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to a scholarship fund for his children which can be made to Stam and Danchi Trust account PO Box 1600, Apex, NC 27502
