John was born July 1, 1941 in Hammond, Indiana, to the late Amerigo and Norma Santori.
He grew up loving sports and shared his passion for them with his family as a coach, spectator, and participant. John especially loved baseball and continued to play in a senior softball league through this spring season. Some of his favorite times were rooting for (in person or at home) his beloved Arizona Cardinals, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Blackhawks and, especially, Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
In his professional career, John was a long-time business owner in Illinois, with his brother, Robert Santori. Later in life, he was semi-retired but spent his recent time as a Logistics Manager with Andor Labs.
John is survived by his loving wife, Jackie; children, Dawn Santori, Deanne (Mark) Puryear, Danielle Santori (Chris Spinelli), and Anthony (Kelly) Santori; grandchildren Brooks and Riley Burton, Connor and Zachary Puryear, and Christopher, Bennett, and Daniel Santori; brother, Robert (Elizabeth) Santori, and many loving nieces, nephews, and relatives.
A funeral mass will be held Monday, June 17 at 10:30 am at Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 625 Magdala Pl., Apex, NC 27502. Inurnment to follow in the columbarium.
