

Born on October 12, 1968, in Toluca, Mexico, he was preceded in death by his parents, Serafin Jaramillo and Maria Azamar.
Jose was a dedicated educator with a passion for teaching. He earned two bachelor’s degrees in education and worked as a teacher at Childcare Network.
His commitment to learning and sharing knowledge extended beyond the classroom as he became a presenter with The World Forum Foundation, traveling globally to support its mission.
Jose was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and mentor. He was known for his perseverance, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to others.
A member of St. Mary Mother of the Church, he found joy in his faith and cherished time with his family. He also had a deep appreciation for all types of food and the experiences that came with it.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Katherine McCaffity Azamar of Apex, NC; daughters Karla Paola Quiroz Espino and her husband Everd Ivan Alvarado Olmos, and Kristha Emilya Quiroz Perez, both of Xalapa Veracruz, Mexico; and Kiara Lynne Azamar of Apex, NC. He is also survived by his brothers: Jose Jamie Quiroz Azamar and wife Isabell Gaitan Charmin of Veracruz, Mexico; Genaro Quiroz Azamar and wife Josefina Murga of Lancaster, CA; Jose Alfonso Quiroz Azamar and wife Maria Del Carmen Moreno Romero of Veracruz, Mexico; and Ulises Quiroz Azamar and wife Rocelia Hernandez Urioste of Garner, NC. He leaves behind two beloved granddaughters, Rebecca Alvarado Quiroz and Renata Alvarado Quiroz.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Apex Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Apex Funeral Home Chapel.
Jose’s legacy of kindness and dedication to others will be remembered by all who knew him.
