Joshua Daniel Jacobs

Joshua was born on April 8, 1985, to Russell "Jake" Jacobs Jr. and Melinda Jacobs Shook in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

Josh was a loving father to his son, Cameron; they loved to spend time together fishing, going to the gym, shoe shopping, and sharing a delicious ribeye with baked potatoes. When not with his son, he enjoyed being with his family outdoors hunting, fishing, and going on beach trips. Josh was also passionate about helping people who struggled with addiction, at one point serving as a Planning Room Coordinator at Healing Transitions and supporting anyone who accepted his help during their recovery journey.

Josh is survived by a host of loving relatives: son, Cameron James Jacobs; mother, Melinda; father, Russell; stepfather, James Burney Shook; siblings, Jasmine Christina Jacobs McAndrew (Daniel), Joelle Elise, Jennah Marie, Jordyn Timothy, Jeremy Kane, and Josiah Thomas; former wife, Jenny Kathryn Axline; grandfather, Russell Jacobs Sr.; nieces and nephews, Joseph Anthony Cahill Jr., Wyatt Jake McAndrew, Avery Dawn McAndrew, Savannah Jo McAndrew, Isla Mae McAndrew; and an abundance of loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Josh is preceded in death by his sister, Jocelyn Rebekah Jacobs; fiancé, Lacie Faith Williams; grandparents, Patricia Jacobs, Gary Joe Johnson, Johannah JayDee Johnson, Edward Andrew Shook Jr., and Mary Burney Shook.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 5:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home. For those unable to attend, there will be a live stream available on the Apex Funeral Home Facebook page.
