Judith Ann (Steiner) Bodhaine

Judy was born on July 26, 1936 in Sterling, Colorado to the late, Harold and Anna Lee Steiner. She was raised in Fort Collins, Colorado with her brother Jim. She graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1954. Judy helped in her father’s grocery store and worked as a lifeguard during the summers. She graduated from Colorado State University in 1958 with a BA in English and was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She was an avid reader and enjoyed classical literature. Later in life, Judy received an associate’s degree in nursing. She became an LPN and then an RN and provided nursing care to patients in long term care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation facilities for more than 25 years. Following her retirement from nursing, Judy moved to Boston, Massachusetts and then to Cary, North Carolina to be near family.

She is survived by her five children, Kathy Johnson, Steven Bodhaine (Cheryl), Mark Bodhaine (Kim), Karen Wallace (Chris), and Kirk Bodhaine (Emily), 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and her brother, Jim Steiner and his wife Rose Ann.
