Larry C. Ellis

Larry Cecil Ellis, 65, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011. He was born January 6, 1947, in Lee County, the son of the late Willis Cecil Ellis and Vivian Marie Goodwin of Moncure. Larry married Dianne Olive in Apex on September 3, 1967. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Larry proudly served in the Army Reserves for the 824th Airborne Division, retiring after 27 years of service. He also worked at Allied Signal, retiring in 1995, after 25 years.

Survivors include his wife, children, Stephanie Freeman and husband Jerry of Apex and Jason Ellis of Apex; two grandchildren, Brianna Freeman and Taylor Freeman; and his mother in law, Louise Olive of Apex.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 4 PM at Olive Chapel Baptist Church, 600 New Hill Olive Chapel Rd, Apex NC 27502. Family will receive friends on Saturday at 2 PM until the time of the service at the church.
