Margaret Mullins Narkunas

Margaret Mullins Narkunas of Cary died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Coeburn, VA to the late Jarvie Mullins and Prudie Poe Mullins of St. Paul, VA. She was a graduate of Castlewood High School in Castlewood, VA. At the time of her illness she was working part-time in the administrative offices of State Employees’ Credit Union after a long career as a Sales Representative for multiple companies. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Raleigh, NC. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved cooking and traveling, and helping those less fortunate. She was loved by so many for her kindness and loving spirit. She will be forever missed.

Margaret was preceded in death by her sisters Adrienne Arnold of Bandera, TX, Charlene Counts of Lebanon, VA, Helen Eleanor Rose of Barnesville, GA., and brothers Luther William Mullins of Villa Rica, GA, and Newton Mullins of Las Vegas, NV.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 34 years, James Narkunas. She is also survived by her children, Diana Domby Howell & husband, Hudson, of Apex, NC, Sam Domby & wife, Tracy, of Beaufort, SC, and son, Michael Domby of Apex, NC; grandchildren, Meredith and Andrew Howell, Breanna, Britney, John, and Heather Domby, and Holly Glover; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Despaux and Claire Mahan; brother, Jarvie Mullins Jr. and wife, June, of St. Petersberg, FL; sisters, Justine Jones of Muncie, IN and Alberta Rose and husband, Ralph, of Abingdon, VA.; sister-in-law Cuc Mullins of Las Vegas, NV; brothers-in-law Cecil Rose of Barnesville, GA and William Narkunas and wife Cindy, of Salem, NH. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends 6-8pm Friday, November 27, 2015 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams Street, Apex, NC 27502. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1500 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27608.
