Marie Catherine Strakowski

She was born on May 18, 1934, in Fulton, NY to the late Floyd and Ida Sanford. She was formerly of Middletown, NY where she worked as a Registered nurse for the Middletown Psychiatric Center, and a Pre-K assistant teacher at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Elementary school.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John “Joe” Strakowski; her brothers Don Sanford, Fay Sanford and John Sanford, and her sister, Sherlee Mentzer. She is survived by her sister Rhoda Thibault.

She is going to be dearly missed by her daughters, Lori Anne Strakowski, at home, and Lisa Faye Winter and her husband, Lee Philip Winter of Apex, NC; grandchildren, Sarah Winter McCarty and her husband, Drew McCarty and Emilee Rose Winter, as well as many close, loving friends.
