I was a volunteer at Kitty Askins and met Chaplain Palmer there. He was kind and soft spoken.  His death was so
Very sudden.  I believe God in His great wisdom  holds Mark in His arms.  His promise 
Is that He will never leave us.  I believe that.

I loved hearing stories of his children .  His love and pride for them was readily evident in his face as he spoke.  Miss you Mark.  Rest In Peace .

So sorry to hear about Mark's passing.  He was a great pastor and friend. My prayers for comfort, strength and peace go out to Grace, Rachel, Joanna and the rest of his family. May you feel God's presence all around you in this extremely difficult time. He will be missed by many.

I graduated high school with Mark at Apex. Mark had a great sense of humor and a gift of being able to encourage and uplift others in their time of need. We lost touch after graduation but I was fortunate to be able to hear him preach as a guest preacher at a church I attended in Fuquay. When you know someone is going to be with the Lord when they pass, it makes the sting of death less painful. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who were closest to Mark

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my friend and colleague Mark. I met him while in CPE at WakeMed. I was a resident and he was an intern. We shared units. We had some awesome discussions and prayers. He was kind, honest, compassionate, and passionate. He truly loved God and his family.  He always spoke of his Rachel and Grace! He believed in the power of prayer. I grew to love him and cherish his friendship. We did not talk often enough, but every time we did my life was made the better. I only hope he would say I did the same for him. Rest well my dear friend. We will ALL miss you.

So thankful for being able to know Pastor Mark not only as a pastor but as a peer and friend who my husband and I really connected with on a spiritual level.  So glad he is the one who married us, and pastored the churches we attended for several years. He also was there when my children heard the Lord calling and baptized them. I am thinking of his family at this difficult time in their lives and praying that they find strength and comfort.  May God bless you and keep you.

Rick and I are deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Mark’s sudden passing. I worked for Mark for a couple of years while he was the Pastor of Inwood Baptist Church. Ministering to people was definitely his calling and I am thankful our family had an opportunity to witness that first hand. We thought very highly of Mark and his family and will be praying for them during what is such a dark time in their lives. May the Lord provide a peace for you that surpasses all understanding. We love you!

As a volunteer at Kitty Askins I saw Mark on a weekly basis. He was truly a great guy. I am going to miss him.

Mark, I am really going to miss you! I pray that you are resting peacefully in Heaven now. I'm very sad that you left early. You were a really good friend and a Brother in Christ. We knew each other for over 50 years. We did a lot together. We went to Church together. I went with you and Micky P. to a lot of churches singing the Gospel. We went Bowling. We went Golfing. We went to the Beach. We went Fishing. We went Cruising around Apex, Cary, Raleigh, Jordan Lake. Both our Families knew each other very well. We even lived next to each other for a few years. Yes, I am really going to miss you a lot. I love you. Rest In Peace! 💖 😢

I remember Mark coming to hear the New Life Seekers sing when he was dating Joanna; remember directing their wedding; remember his sweet smile, gentle laugh and his love for His Lord.  He was one of a kind and he will be missed by not only those who love him so dearly, but all of those who he met and remember the comforting words he shared. Pat and I have fond memories of Mark, Joanna, Rachel, and Grace at Union Hope Baptist Church. We missed them when they were called to serve another church. We remember Mark's lively preaching style as he proclaimed God's Word. His expression "The pure thou art", when mentioning something that has no substitute, often comes up in our conversations. 

Mark and his family were more than our "preacher and his folks", they were our friends. We prayerfully remember you and ask God to comfort you as we all grieve together.

So sorry for the loss of Mr Mark.  He was such a sweet, kind soul and he will be missed so much by his work family.  Praying for comfort during this time.  

Mark and I started 1st grade and finished 12th grade together. We shared many good times together. In our adult years we were not as close as we used to be but we each know that we were only a phone call away if we needed each other. Gone way too young. Love you brother.
