Mary (Greenler) Christian died January 28, 2015 in Apex, NC of natural causes. She was 94. Born and raised in Boxford, Mass.; she was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William Greenler and graduated from Emmanuel College in Boston. She raised her family in Georgetown, Mass., where she taught second grade for many years and was the church organist at St. Mary’s Church. She and her husband, Russell Christian, retired to Largo, Florida in 1982; he died in 1999.
She is survived by her brother, Dr. John Greenler, of Middleton, Mass., and by her children: Anne Burr and Barbara Argarwal, of Largo, FL; Catherine McGue, of St. Petersburg, FL; Thomas Christian, of Apex, NC; Raymond Christian, of Wakefield, RI; and Richard Christian, of Edinburg, TX. Her son Philip Christian died in 2004. She is also survived by her beloved sons-and-daughters-in-law; by twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held in Georgetown, Mass. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Massachusetts.
