Paulette Whitaker Dupree

Paulette was born on October 17, 1944 in Jacksonville, NC to the late Paul Brown Whitaker and Ida Sims Whitaker. Known as Polly to many, she worked as the office manager at Carolina Builders for many years. Paulette enjoyed antiquing and running an antiques business with her husband, John. She was a longtime member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church where she was active in several ministries.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, John Dupree Jr; daughter, Paulette Dupree Brown and her husband, Jamie Brown Jr; grandson, Jamie Brown III and his wife, Alley Brown; great-grandson, Kamden Brown; grandson, Jordan Brown; sister, Brenda Whitaker Rewalt and her husband, Jim; niece, Donna Rewalt and her husband, Jeffrey, their children, Brennan and Collin; and nephew, Jay Rewalt; along with her cousins and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 724 Beaver Creek Rd, Apex, NC 27502 with a burial to follow at the church cemetery.
