Richard John Lawless

Richard was born on October 27, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Francis and Helen Lawless. He attended Michigan State University, where he studied accounting and played on the varsity fencing team. After graduation, he joined the Internal Revenue Service. During his 30 years with the IRS, he spent time in Detroit, Cincinnati, and Buffalo. When not working, he was a member of the Clawson volunteer fire department and enjoyed playing racquetball.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Joan McBride.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Camille Lawless; son, Richard “Rick” Lawless Jr. and his wife, Deb Lawless; and daughter, Cathy Wood and her husband, Don Wood. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service with friends and family will be held at a later date.
