Richard Irwin Stahl

Richard Irwin Stahl, 71, of Apex died Wednesday, December 18, 2013. He was born on March 29, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY to Irwin Stahl and Eleanor Salzmann Stahl. He attended Plainedge High School and lived in Massapequa, NY and graduated from Northeastern University. He received his Master’s Degree from Union College. Mr. Stahl was employed with Grumman Aviation Space Program and was with General Electric for 34 years. He was manager of Pumps and Auxiliary equipment for the Naval Nuclear Program. He also served in Clifton Park, NY on the Parrish Council and was a Eucharistic Minister at Corpus Christi Church, Ushers, NY.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margaret Stahl; children: Elizabeth A. Coyne, Richard I. Stahl, II, and Christine M. Ihle; 9 grandsons. He is preceded in death by his sister: Lynne Brady.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, December 21, 2013 at St. Andrew The Apostal Catholic Church, 3008 Old Raleigh Rd, Apex. The family will receive friends following the service.
