Robert Joseph Gonier

Robert was born June 1, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Joseph Francis and Ruth Greene Gonier. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps retiring with over 20 years of service. Robert continued his career as a Systems Analyst working as a Contractor for the EPA. He retired from this position in 2010. He spent his retired years enjoying time with his wife, daughters and grandchildren.

Bob lived for his family and was always there for them. He was the Dad/Grandpa/Papa who would always play with the children. He had a pure, innocent heart and loved unconditionally. He was the first to volunteer to do something no one else would want to do and would never complain. His modesty and quiet strength made him so easy to love and to have in your life. He will be so greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his sister Joanie Gonier Verwers.

Robert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sherry Anne Barnes Gonier; daughters, Angela Gonier Ray and her husband, Kerry Dee Ray, II and Amanda Gonier McClary and her husband Aleric Alexander McClary; his sisters, Alice Gonier Voeller, Rosalie Gonier Wick, Karen Gonier Alexander and Lynn Gonier Stanke; and six grandchildren, Alexis Kaye Gettle, Trinity Aleric McClary, Serenity Sky McClary, Madison Brooke Ray, Peyton Robert McClary and Brielle Arianna McClary.

A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be determined.
