

Bob was born May 14, 1933 in Rotterdam, NY to the late Leo and Marie Taylor Hogan. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was employed as a mechanic with Delta Airlines and a flight engineer with ONA. He also served as a field service engineer installing gas turbines internationally with General Electric Corporation, retiring with many years of service. Bob was known for his wonderful sense of humor, handsome looks and love of his family. He spent his retirement in NC enjoying time with his wife and daughters, especially his youngest daughter, Amy Lynn who was his pride and joy.
Bob was preceded in death by brother, Harold Leo Hogan; nephew, James Hogan; sister-in-law, Delores Hogan; step-father, Francis Rochford.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Lou Volkers Hogan; daughters, Daphne Hogan, Amy Lynn Hogan and Jerry Maikels; son, Robert Francis Hogan; sister, Lynne Stoll (Craig); grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephew.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Friday, September 23, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Scotia, NY. Interment will follow the service at St. Mary's Cemetery in Amsterdam, NY.
