Schuyler Cornwell Smith

Schuyler Cornwell Smith, age 87, of Cary, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024. He was born on May 26, 1937 to the late Schuyler B. and Ruth D. Smith, of Rockville Centre, New York.

Schuyler married Patricia Stewart in 1959 and settled in Rockville Centre. Together they raised three children. He retired from the New York Telephone Company in May of 1994, after many years of management.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gayle Brashears and by his loving wife of 57 years, Pat. He is survived by three children: Schuyler (Lisa), Dale Conners (Tom) and Karen Rowe (Tim); grandchildren: Lauren, Melissa (Connor), Tom, Jay, Kimberly (JJ), Megan and Andrew; and by his loving partner: Patricia Huber.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm at Thomas A. Glynn & Son Funeral Home in Rockville Centre, NY. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at Greenfield Cemetery in Uniondale, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or a charity of your choice.
