Shirley Jean Valle

Shirley Jean Valle, (née Simons), 75, of Hillsborough, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 31, 2015. Born September 24, 1939, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, she was the eldest daughter of Paul Simons and Nellie Mae Tinney Simons. She graduated from Lost Creek High School and married the love of her life, Michael Valle on July 18, 1970.

Shirley retired from AT&T after 30 years of service. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and researching family history, but most of all, spending time with her family and grandsons.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Michael Valle; daughter, Debbie Haughton of Apex, NC; grandsons, Tim and Josh Haughton; brothers Roger Simons and his wife, Pat, of Sterling, VA; Frank Simons and his wife, Patty of Potomac Falls, VA; and Ernest Simons and his wife Cherrie of Philippi, WV; sister Nancy Sanchez and husband, Jorge, of Springfield, VA. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry Simons and Mark Simons.

Family will receive friends on Thursday evening, September 3rd from 6-8 PM at Apex Funeral Home.
