I grew up on the same street as Terry. Although he was a few years older than me, he and his brothers always included me in pick up baseball and football games in the neighborhood. I remember him as a kind person with a good sense of humor. I am very sorry to hear about his illness and death. Please accept my condolences. I hope you will continue to celebrate his life.

I met Terry a few years back when he became our ‘Houston Rodeo buddy’. Prior to the concerts we would go out for dinner and have great conversations that always led to tears because we would laugh so hard at Terry’s funny stories. The best stories were about his family. Carol – his eyes lit up when he spoke of you. You were the love of his life.
Prayers for peace and strength for all who loved Terry. May your memories sustain you.


It was truly a pleasure knowing and working with Terry. He always had me laughing! He loved to work hard but also knew how to play hard. We will all miss him deeply and will never forget him. He was a one of a kind great guy.

Fond memories of Terry we worked together with CVS.I needed to sit in one day during an investigation,before it was over he had me willing to confess and I haven't even done anything.He was the best and always brought a smile.Prayers for peace, and strength to each of you.RIP Terry 💔

Big T helped me make one of biggest decisions of my life, I don't think I would be where I am today without him.  He was always ready to help and never asked for anything in return. We couldn't have asked for a better neighbor, although I do think he was adding points to his cornhole score!

I met Terry a little over two years ago when he joined the Retail Business Services AP Team and instantly, I knew he was one of the good guys! Terry was a great teammate who was always there when you asked for his advice and willing to lend a helping hand. Terry’s humor was unmatched. Whether it was a phone call, text or email I was always left laughing.

My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.   


So many memories of playing softball, soccer and coaching together and one stands out. We were coaching a basketball game and Shane and Terry were rather animated (not really a surprise) and the ref marched towards our bench to give a technical. When the ref was near me, we both looked at our bench; Shane had a "who me?" expression on his face and Terry had the biggest grin you have ever seen. Both the ref and I cracked up laughing and all was well. Thank you Terry for always bringing passion and joy to those around you.  

Thinking of all of you at this sad time. Terry will be missed by so many. Eric is my grandson and we have been so pleased that he had this time with Terry. 
My prayers are for peace as you give Terry up to his heavenly home.

Sometimes people come into your lives and leave their mark. That was Terry. I have so many memories from the soccer field to dinner parties, hanging out in the neighborhood and sharing our Poughkeepsie stories. Terry will always have a special place in our hearts and will be forever with us.

I am so sorry to hear of Terry’s passing. He was fondly known to me as Ralph and my fondest memory is of our nightly jogs around the neighborhood. One night Freckles the dog was chasing us and Terry warned me to be careful right before the dog jumped and bit my butt! Terry helped me home and we were both laughing the whole way. He will be missed and always loved. 

A great man and friend has left this earth but will forever be in our hearts. Great memories will live on.  I love you man, you will be truly missed!

I'll remember Mr. Terry for teaching me to drive when my parents were too scared to, the basketball coach who could be counted on for ridiculous pep talks and for shouting at the ref at some point during the game, Brittany United's number one goalie, making the world's best chocolate covered strawberries, and letting all the neighborhood children, girls, and dogs hang out in the man cave. Love you, Big T.

I can’t believe my LP partner is gone. He will be truly missed by many. I will never forget his sincere smile and genuine kindness. Rest In Peace my brother!!!

I am truly blessed to have been able to work with such a kind soul. We are on the Investigations Team together at RBS. I can't remember a single phone call or meeting that Terry didn't make me laugh or wish I was more like him.  I've never seen him upset. I've never heard him complain. I constantly saw joy and dedication and sincerity. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to meet his family.... but in complete honesty, I feel like I did. He spoke of his family all the time and it warmed my heart to see a man so profoundly happy and considerate in every manner. 
Terry will genuinely be missed by all of us at RBS... especially our small team that allowed us to learn and teach and help one another.
Attending conferences and classes won't be the same.

One memory of Terry that stands out for me- back when our older children were 13/14 years old, we got very cheap tickets to NY on one of those new discount airlines, and Clara and Kyle flew on their own to see my sister.  Well that discount airline closed up shop while they were away, leaving them stranded in NY.  Terry Rice offered to drive up to New York to go get them- no big deal, he likes to drive.  What a huge heart and a willingness to put the needs of his friends before his own.  Thankfully we did not have to take him up on that generous offer, but I’ll never forget it!

Terry worked for me many years.  He was an excellent investigator and interviewer.  He will be missed. Peace to his family. 

Carole, Rachel, Sarah and family, our hearts are broken for you all! Terry was one-of-a-kind and is certainly missed! Sending you all love and prayers. We love you all!

Terry was someone that, without fail, so clearly dedicated to the happiness of those around him, the life of the party, and clearly deeply loving of the family, and friends, that were always around him, testament to the man he was.  Be it getting drunk before running a half marathon (pictured), down in the man cave, wherever it was, he was generous, welcoming, capable of making me nearly cry with laughter, and crucially, someone who you just, without saying it, knew you could rely on.

So sorry for your loss. Terry was a great guy. We worked together at CVS. He was one of a kind. He could also Happy Gilmore a golf ball a mile. 

I’d only known Terry (or “Beans and Rice” as I called him)  for a couple years after we began working together at Retail Business Services as investigations partners. We quickly became friends and I very much appreciated Terry’s willingness to share his knowledge and experience. He loved his family and always beamed with pride when speaking about them.  Even though I moved on to a different job, Terry and I remained friends and  in contact with each other . I will miss his outgoing and funny personality. My deepest condolences to his family and others like me lucky enough to call him a friend.

I had the pleasure of working with Terry at CVS.  He was a great guy always willing to help out and give advice. Always talked about his family and his love for Golf and NCSU! I remember the first investigation I sat in on with him. He had the employee scarred when he told stories of him previously being a Texas Ranger and also working in New York City with Rudi Giuliani, true or not he had me believing it! LOL! He is going to be missed! Rest in peace! 

Terry worked for me as an investigator for a few years and I came to know him very well. He was one of the most kind, humble and in his mind,  funniest people you would ever have the privilege of knowing. Terry would often tell jokes to me and his former partner Terry P. and we would just look at each other while Rice as we called him would be the only one laughing. Terry didn’t just work for me, Terry became a friend, a mentor of sorts and will leave an everlasting impression on my life. Terry my friend, my brother, I will leave you with the lyrics of song we often played for each other.   I will remember you every time I hear it. 

Hello darkness, my old friend. I’ve come to talk with you again.  Because a vision softly creeping. Left it’s seed while I was sleeping.  And the vision that was planted in my brain. Still remains. Within the Sound of Silence. God speed, Brother! 

Our hearts are broken to hear about the passing of our neighbor, Terry.  We will always remember the kindness he showed everyone. His smile and presence will be so missed.

My husband and I have lived across street from Terry and Carol for almost 10 years.   Seeing the two of you walking by the house always with a smile and a friendly wave emphasized how wonderful our neighborhood and it’s people are.   He will be missed. I had the privilege of meeting Terry while working  at Retail Business Services on a special project in Illinois. We became fast friends, and he was one of the most pleasant and funny guys I've ever met. I will miss our frequent text exchanges and occasional phone calls, which were always positive, yet very entertaining!

My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends, you are in my prayers. He'll be missed greatly by the whole team here at RBS.

One of our favorite memories of Terry is that he was the fun “uncle” to all the kids in the neighborhood, all the neighborhood kids on the trampoline, putting all the kids to work on projects, mentoring them or just making them feel special. When Philip & Jacob were young, they had Terry convinced their names were Henry & Otto.  Terry called them Henry & Otto for quite some time. 

My memories of Terry are about his strong character and his love of family. Another of God's children taken way too soon. We have all been blessed by knowing Terry, and we will see him again one day.
We can now celebrate his life.

Terry was a really good friend who I would talk with daily since 2016.  They say iron sharpens iron, and for me, Terry was the iron that kept me sharp.  We would talk about work, family, and everything in between.  Terry would give me sound advice when asking for his  opinion.  I loved Terry as a brother and he continues to hold a special place in my heart.  Please know that Terry's legacy will live on through all of the people he touched, which was many.  He taught me so much and inspired me to reach for the stars - I could never repay him for everything he gave me, but will work hard to live my life in his memory/honor.   I miss my buddy!  Terry was a great man, loyal friend, who truly loved his family!  God bless you my friend!
