Terry Allen Finch

Terry was born on June 3, 1961 in San Francisco, CA and lived in California until 2000, when he relocated to North Carolina. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, serving at church and being outdoors. The beach was his happy place where he liked to fish, but the fish didn’t always like to bite. With his career in IT, he was always the “computer guy” and never met a technology problem he couldn’t solve. Terry was full of joy and life and never met a stranger – in fact he was always finding someone he knew wherever he went, that’s why some called him the mayor. He was committed to his beliefs and stuck to his true north through the end of his life.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sue Finch; daughter, Sarah Finch; his mothers, Carole Finch and Carol Smith; many siblings; and his dog, Dooley.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions can be donated to the Duke Cancer Institute to support further cancer research. Donations can be made at www.gifts.duke.edu/dci

There will be a celebration of life on October 26, 2023 from 4pm-7pm at The Cotton House in Cary (307 S Academy Street, Cary, NC 27511). Please feel free to stop by and have a beer in Terry’s honor.
