He was born in Centerton Arkansas and was a resident of Apple Valley, California. He served in the Army from 1954 - 1956.
Charles has 4 children; Terri Lopez, Danny Holland, Janette Holland and Eric Holland. He has 9 grandchildren: Jason Holland, Jeremy Sutton, Joey Sutton, Danny Holland Jr, Scott Holland, Jaycee Alvarez, Lindsey Lopez, Eric Holland Jr. and Ryan Holland. Charles also has 8 great grandchildren; Scotty Holland, Jackson Holland, Abigail Holland, Hannah Holland , Ian Sutton, Seth Sutton, Isla Alvarez and Winter Brumett.
