It is with deep sorrow, the family of Chase Landon Littell share that "Our Chasey," beloved son, ultimate big brother, adored family member, and best friend to so many, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, May 12th, 2022 at his home in Victorville, CA., at the age of just 16.
Chase Landon was our sunshine when skies were gray, a true shining light in an otherwise dark world. He cared so deeply for so many and was loved fiercely in return by so many more.
Whether you knew Chase his entire life or had one encounter with him, his charming good looks, his infectious smile that so perfectly paired his goofy personality, his witty (often inappropriate) sense of humor, were sure to leave the mark of his memory forever engraved on your heart.
It is with cherished memories of unconditional love and painful full-belly laughs that Chase would often, and typically obnoxiously, coax you into, whether you were in the mood for it or not, that we ask you all to come together to love, laugh, and create memories the way Chase would want us all to continue to do.
Despite Chase's God-given gift to bring love and light to others around him, he struggled deeply and privately with dark, inexplicable pain. Anxiety and depression sadly lead him down a path of substance abuse and addiction, a path Chase was working his way back from with the love and support of his family, friends, and with Jesus Christ.
In his final weeks and months, it was joyous to see Chase find himself and have hope again. He was making plans for the future and had a renewed sense of purpose as he marched fervently towards earning his next chip at his NA meetings, working to obtain his driver's licenses, and gain his independence by getting his first job.
Unfortunately, recovery is not linear, and one bad day, just one bad choice can be the one mistake we can't come back from. This is how Chase's fight ended, like too many others before him who struggled with the silent illness that is addiction. Chase left the pain of this world and can left us, and because of that, we will never be the same.
Chase will be missed beyond measure by his mom & dad, Jessica Littell-Cheney & Trever Cheney; father & stepmother, Taylor & Daisy Dallas; his siblings, Caden, Clark, Cohen, Taylor Jr., Hollie, and Lyla; his many grandparents and great-grandparents; his adoring aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends he always treated like family.
We find comfort in knowing Chase was welcomed to heaven by the loving arms of his "favorite lady" Nana (Nancy Cheney), along with what we are sure was quite the welcome wagon of family and friends who made it there before him and will keep him safe in their arms until we are all together.
We love you Chasey, all around the world, to heaven, and back more times than we could ever count. We will miss you terribly but will carry your memory firmly in our hearts until the day we see you again.
Arrangements for Chase's memorial service has been entrusted to Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 24000 Waalew Road., Apple Valley, CA. Where services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 17th, 2022 with a reception to follow.
