Felipe Garza Jr

Felipe Garza Jr, age 59, passed away Wednesday, September 5th, 2022 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Apple Valley, CA. Felipe struggled with diabetes and congestive heart failure which ultimately led his kidneys to fail.

Felipe was born May 27th, 1963 in Los Ramones, Nuevo León México, to Felipe H Garza Sr and Consuelo (Ramirez) Garza. He grew up and attended school in Selma, CA. He married Amelia Alvarado on March 23rd, 1996 in Lake Tahoe, CA.

For the majority of his adult life he worked as a Diesel Mechanic. He started his 23 year career with Walmart at the Porterville Distribution Center/Fleet Maintenance, where he moved up among the ranks and was currently an Area Manager for Private Fleet Maintenance for Walmart Corporation in Apple Valley, Ca. He was a dedicated employee with a strong work ethic, had a wonderful knack for solving problems, and was a respected and valued person no matter his place of employment. He also had an uncanny ability to impact people in a deep and positive way.

Felipe truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; going hunting, fishing, working on cars, bbqing, spending time with his family, going on family trips to the mountains, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Felipe is survived by his wife Amelia Garza, his children, Samantha Ann, Zachary Hunter, Nathan Devon, Kendra Nicole, Emma Lynn Garza, and his grandchildren, Zachary Salvador Garza, and Michael John Wenning; As well as his grown children Felipe Garza III(and his children), and Lena Esparza(and her children); His siblings Mary Smith, Adela Garza, Anna Vasquez, Alma Vasquez, Arcie Fernandez, Eddie Garza, Amanda Hamm, and Alicia Garcia; Many nieces, nephews, and cousins; Family, friends, work colleagues and countless others who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Felipe H Garza, his mother, Consuelo Garza, and his sister, Blanca Cantù.
