Kenneth Ray Dawson, 84 of Apple Valley, California, passed away at his home on August 4, 2017 surrounded by loved ones.
Ken was born in Idabel Oklahoma on September 17, 1932 to Robert and Dorothy Dawson. He was the youngest of two boys.
His parents moved the family to California when Ken was four years old. He received his education in the California school system, earning a bachelors degree.
In his second year of college he met Betty king, a fellow student and they were married in February, 1952.
Ken was a beloved teacher, administrator, and counselor for over 35 years. He was known for his adventurous spirit and his unshakable faith.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Betty, children Kenda Lampe, Jan Jansen, Michael Dawson, son in law Scott Lampe, his four grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00AM on August 12, 2017 at Sonlife Community Church. Pastor Mark Mikels will be officiating.
