Kenneth Leon Culbertson

Kenny was born in Ventura, Ca on Dec. 11,1945 to Leon and Margaret Culbertson.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Thelma, the love of his life for 59 years. Son Jeff Culbertson and daughter-in-law Brenda Culbertson, son Donald Culbertson and daughter-in-law Tatiana Culbertson, 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, a sister Karen Horne and brother-in-law Terry Horne.

Kenny started his own construction company in 1974 in which he maintained his license until the time of his passing. He worked for the city of Victorville as an inspector then transferred to code enforcement and retired in 2006. Volunteering in the Sheriff's posse for many years led him to his main passion which was giving all his free time to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's office. Staring off as a deputy in September of 1983, working his way up to be assigned as a detective until he retired in April of 2020

Services will be held at Sunset Hills Mortuary & Memorial Park on Sept. 27, 2025, with reception to immediately follow graveside service.

A funeral service for Kenneth will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sunset Hills Mortuary, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, CA 92307. A graveside service will occur Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, CA 92307. A reception will occur Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, CA 92307.
