Marisa Lynn Cusack

Marisa Lynn Cusack of Apple Valley, CA went to heaven to be with the Lord on October 4, 2017 at the age of 37. She was born on May 9, 1980 to Tisha Dotters of Pahrump, NV and Larry Cusack of Apple Valley, CA.

She attended Apple Valley High School and graduated in 1997. She continued her education and received her certification in medical assisting at California Paramedical School in 2000.

Each and every day of her life was filled with joy taking care of her 9 year old son Isaiah. Marisa would affectionately call him “Isaiah Playa”. They were constant companions and treasured each other’s company.

Marisa also adored animals including giraffes, elephants, horses, and especially her beloved dog “Presley”. She was also passionate about making jewelry, her Coca Cola collection, painting, and collecting anything and everything.

Marisa’s very large family was especially important to her. They always vacationed together, enjoyed weekends at “The River”, and spent each and every holiday together.

If you knew Marisa, you were sure to recognize her contagious laugh and nonstop chattering. She was full of life and love for everyone.

She has left behind to cherish her memory, her son Isaiah Cusack-Ortega of Apple Valley, CA; husband Gustavo Ortega of Hesperia, CA; mother Tisha Dotter of Pahrump, NV; father Larry Cusack of Apple Valley, CA; sister Shallon Cusack of Redlands, CA; brothers Jay, Shawn, and Gabe Lovato all of Apple Valley, CA along with all of their families.

She is preceded in death by her step mother, Sue Cusack; grandparents, Earl and Bonnie Cusack; maternal grandparents Bobbie and Kenny Steinfeldt.

Services will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Park 24000 Waalew Rd. Apple Valley, CA 92307. Visitation is on Wednesday October 11th from 6:00PM-7:30PM. Burial Services will be on Thursday October 12th at 11:00AM with a luncheon reception immediately following.
