

Patric Scott Yancey, beloved husband, father, and dedicated public servant, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, at the age of 74. Born May 8, 1950, in Winfield, Louisiana, to parents Thomas and Patsy, Patric lived a life marked by unwavering commitment to his family and community. His career was a testament to his dedication and service. He proudly served as a police officer from 1975 to 1979, upholding the law with integrity and compassion. Following his time in law enforcement, Patric embarked on a fulfilling career as an educator in 1984, impacting countless lives over more than four decades in the classroom. He moved to California in 1990 to continue his teaching career. He held his bachelor's and master's degrees and Doctorate in Education with majors in History and Special Education. His passion for teaching and his commitment to his students were evident in his unwavering dedication and the deep respect he earned from colleagues and students alike. He did extra activities with his students such as Chess club competitions and live broadcasting of games. He loved the classroom but also the one on one he enjoyed since 2013 at Learn For Life, a local charter school, he was also a self-published author with his novel, "PD12". Patric was a devoted husband to his wife, Patty, for 28 years, and a loving father to his two sons, Patrick and Scott, his two granddaughters, Isabella and Natosha, two cousins Kim and Janis and 3 stepchildren, Jeni Lee, Amy Lynn, and JR plus their children, Harley Mae, Heath, Lucinda, Emmitt and Elvy, who survived him. He cherished his family above all else, and his warmth, kindness, and unwavering support enriched their lives immeasurably. He was known for his gentle spirit, his quiet strength, and his unwavering integrity. He loved telling stories and jokes and had a keen sense of humor. Patric's legacy will live on in the memories of those whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, former colleagues, and students. He will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for the profound impact he had on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. As a fellow co-worker stated: "You are impossible to replace"! He will rest in peace with mother and family in Goldonna, Louisiana. The precious gift of memory remains forevermore....
