Patricia M. Arens, a long time resident of the Victor Valley, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening. She is survived by her children Cyndi, Sandy, and Russell, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Originally coming to Victorville in 1967 from George Air Force Base, she spent a brief stint in Europe before returning to the valley in 1972 and purchasing the H&R Block ta preparation service on Seventh Street. In 1982 she sold that business and stared a bookkeeping business under her own name in an office she built onto her home, becoming a trailblazer among entrepreneurs who work from home. She developed a loyal clientele and successfully ran her business in Apple Valley until her passing. Ms. Arens loved the valley and was devoted to her friends and family. She will be missed by all who enjoyed her sharp mind and warm company over the years.
