

He was born June 8, 1931 in Whittier, CA. The first child of Isaac and Aleitha Davis. He attended grade school in Long Beach, CA and then graduated from Phineas Banning High School in Wilmington, CA. After graduating from high-school he worked briefly at Ford Motor Co. before working 2 years at Pacific Maritime as a Stevadore.
In 1952, he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in Amarillo, TX. After an honorable discharge he returned to Long Beach and joined the Longshoreman’s Union eventually becoming a part of the Lines Bureau. Bob married Darlene Besand on October 7, 1966 – together they raised 6 children. After 27 years with the Longshoreman’s Bob changed careers and together with Darlene ran a successful Real Estate career. Bob had a successful career and was always working on side jobs. He was a doer and was admired by all of those around him. He loved spending time with his family and spent as much time as he could travelling and exploring whenever he had time.
Bob loved all things outdoors and was a cowboy at heart. As a true cowboy, he loved riding horses and spending time outside and any time he could in the mountains. He was a proud and passionate member of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse and enjoyed the time he spent there.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard Davis. He is survived by his wife Darlene of 56 years. His children Daniel Cullett, David Cullett, Tamera (Tom) Kolano, Todd (Sandra) Davis, Franklin Davis, and Carla Davis; 12 grandkids; 13 great grandkids; 2 great-great grandkids; sister Donna and many nieces and nephews.
