Suzanna Theresa Martinez, age 88, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, her 88th birthday. Born on January 27, 1937, Suzanna was beloved for her warm, caring, and kind-hearted nature. She never met a stranger and embraced everyone with open arms. Above all, she cherished her time surrounded by family. Her unwavering love touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Suzanna leaves behind two sisters, one brother, six children, 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

A devout Catholic, Suzanna’s life was defined by her faith. She instilled in her children the importance of love, respect, and caring for one another. A fighter at heart, Suzanna overcame breast cancer through chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Her strength and resilience were a testament to her indomitable spirit.

Suzanna will be remembered for her radiant smile, infectious laughter, sharp wit, and love of music and dancing. She had a passion for cooking, and every morning she prepared freshly made beans, ensuring that anyone who visited her home left with a full stomach. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for others and will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Suzanna also followed her desire to help others by earning her certification as a nurse’s aide through community college. Her involvement in the church was unwavering, volunteering at church functions and carnivals with her beloved husband, and always encouraging her children to be a part of it too. This was her happiness—helping others and bringing her family together.

We will continue to love and miss Suzanna dearly, and we look forward to the day we are reunited with her.
