Allen Lewey Henderson passed away from heart failure Sunday, May 20, 2012 at East Texas Medical Center in Athens, Texas. Mr. Henderson was born in Conway, Arkansas on 8 November, 1929 to Emmett Allen Henderson and Grace Lewey Henderson. He was raised in Chicago and Dallas and left home at sixteen to join the Merchant Marines. He also served four years in the Coast Guard and eight years in the Air Force. He met his beloved wife Geraldine Stone in Denver and they were married in New Mexico in 1954. He earned a B.S. Degree from the University of Tampa in 1961 while in the Air Force. He worked in the Aerospace industry for thirty years. Preceded in death by his wife of fifty years and their son Shaun. Also preceded in death by brother James and sister Betty. Mr. Henderson is survived by a son Miles, his wife Dana and four grandchildren; a daughter, Theresa McIlvane and husband Larry.
