Alvin George Row

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Interment with full military honors will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Moore Funeral Home.

He was born Alvin George Row on February 16, 1942 in Wells, Texas, a son of James Frank Row and Eva Marlett Row. He graduated from Diamond Hills Jarvis High School in 1960. Alvin served twenty years in the United States Navy. After retiring from the Navy, Alvin worked thirty one years for Bell Helicopter. On September 8, 1962, Alvin married Johnnie Meeker in Fort Worth and they recently celebrated fifty one years of marriage. He loved cars and traveling the world. Alvin is preceded in death by his parents, and one son, James Robert Row in 2002.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Row; two daughters, Karen Row and Avonda Row; one brother, James Row; eight grandchildren, Ashley Row, Amber Row, Alec Row, Joy Weatherford, Stephen Gudka, Laura Strzelecki, Erica Gudka, and Ryan Gudka; and one great-granddaughter, Grace Gudka.
