Graveside service: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home.
Ancel was born to Melvin Henry and Lonnie Merle Gilbreath in Brown County on April 12, 1927. He was a member of Arlington Presbyterian Church for many years. He loved to garden and spend time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Booney Green.
Survivors: Wife of 62 years, Vernelle Gilbreath; sons, Michael Gilbreath and wife, Terri, and Cameron Gilbreath; grandchildren, Amy Smith and husband, Gabe, Sarah Ackerley, James Gilbreath and wife, Sara, Joseph Gilbreath and wife, Jessica, Caleb Gilbreath, Alexander Gilbreath and Corey Gilbreath; and great-grandchildren, Malcolm and Coraline Smith.
