I have a lot of great memories teaching with Andrea at Nolan High School. The subject we taught was religion, so we were as much counselors as teachers. I am very shocked to learn of her passing, but I'm sure she was transported to heaven in a direct manner. She will undoubtedly be missed!

Mrs. Scanland was such a positive and upbeat teacher. She made everyday better just by sharing her enthusiasm for life. She is an inspiration of how to choose love and joy. God bless Mrs Scanland and her family.

Mrs. MacDonald was my teacher at St. George and then my teacher at Nolan. I loved her. I was so happy when she moved to Nolan. She was a wonderful woman and fantastic teacher. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Scanland was one of my favorite teachers at Nolan. Our senior year, we had to pick a teacher to robe us and I picked her. I will never forget her smile, delightful laugh, and sense of humor. I am thankful for the way she touched my life as a high school student. Praying all of her family and friends feel God’s peace, comfort, and love during this difficult time.

Andrea taught my kids and was a wonderful co-worker at Nolan Catholic HS.  Ever joyful and taught with passion and enjoyment.  She   is no doubt still smiling and waiting for us all.  -Patty

Andrea has been a friend since the 1960s .  We were neighbors in Holiday North in New Jersey.    Mary was maybe 7 or 8 when she first visited the MacDonald home and asked Andrea why a particular room was empty.  Oh, it will be the dining room when we can afford furniture, Andrea answered!  When Heather was born, Andrea asked Chris to walk her around the neigbhorhood in her carriage.  Chris was only 8 and I was concerned.  Andrea said she had observed how Chris was with babies and told me to butt out!  Over the years with moves on all our parts, we all visited in Pennsylvania, and Andrea and Bob visited when Jim and I had moved to Delaware.  Our most recent visit was in March, 2022 when I stayed with Andrea and Bob for a wonderful weekend visit! 
My prayer is that all of the family have wonderful memories to sustain you these days as your mourn this great woman!

I met Andrea last year when we joined the Stephen Ministry class at Most Blessed Sacrament. I loved Andrea’s warmth, sense of humor and zest for life. I was so stunned to hear about her passing. I pray that the Holy Spirit will provide strength and comfort to Andrea’s family. May God grant Andrea’s soul peace and everlasting life with Him. Anne Long

She was an amazing teacher. I taught with her in my early days at Nolan and she loved those students. The world will miss her.

I am so sorry to hear of Andrea’s passing. As a former student and then colleague, she always made me feel loved and supported.   Andrea exuded kindness and love.  My thoughts are with all of you.

Sweet and joyful Andrea.  Oh we will miss you at Texas Fitt.  Seeing you  walk into class was always a wonderful sight because you had the best smile and truly a kind snd joyful spirit.   You recently offered to be a stand in Grandma to out sweet Lily when i told you she missed her Grandma after her passing.  Lord bless and keep your family and give them peace.

Bob, Tim, Tara, and Heather…. I am so sorry to hear of Andrea’s sudden death.  i know she was a wonderful wife and mom and grandmom because she was a wonderful friend to me for 63 years.  We met as freshman at CW Post College in 1960.  We had an instant connection, tho’ we went on to join 2 different sororities.  Andrea and Chuck and my college boyfriend and I crossed the barriers imposed by the Greek system, in those days, and enjoyed one another’s company, often.  Andrea and I were chosen to represent CW Post in a pageant; I come across those pictures now and then.  After college we went our separate ways until about 1975, when we ran into each other in New Brunswick, NJ on a street corner.  Since that time, we stayed in one another’s lives, though we lived far apart.  I loved Andrea; I will miss her dearly, as I know you will.  Andrea’s faith was inspirational.  May your fondest memories soften your deepest grief.  I know it will mine.  Love to you all…Kath Kenney Bergin

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Andrea’s passing. We had so much fun as members of the Nolan teachers “Spades Queens” bunch. Always laughing and generous of her time to everyone. She was a wonderful colleague and friend. May she rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to all of her family and friends. She was one of my favorite "grown ups" when I was growing up and of course the kindest soul I have had the blessing of knowing from the day she was my teacher and later in life, a dear friend with always a kind word. While she is already missed, I know she has left the world around her and everyone she touched in a better place because of the amazing person she was. Again, my deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

Mrs. Scanlan was my high school religion teacher. She was the warmest, friendliest, most loving caring teacher I’ve had. Rest in peace, Mrs. Scanlan. You are loved.

Heather and family, we are shocked and saddened hearing of Andrea’s death.  Our memories are from her wonderful teaching at Cure’ of Ars and spending time as friends.  Lately I’ve enjoyed staying friends through Facebook.
When our Megan was in 5th grade, Andrea told me how sweet Megan was But Megan talked more than any student she had taught… it was true and a great memory.  And Bridget and Heather in sports.

My sincere condolences to the family. I babysat her grandchildren a few times when I was growing up.  Mrs. Scanland was always so kind before, during, and after my time at Nolan.
