Annie Joyce Tate, 94, left this earth on November 17, 2024, and is now with the Lord. Joyce was born August 9, 1930, in McCamey, Texas to George L. Greer and Annie Grace Landers Greer. She and her family lived in Ingleside, TX when she was a small girl. After losing her mother at the age of three, Joyce and her brothers were raised by her loving stepmother, Lucy Dingler Greer.
Joyce attended high school and graduated from Southwestern Bible Institute where she met the love of her life, Leonard Terry Tate. They married in 1950 and had 74 years of blissful marriage. Joyce and Terry had three children and lived most of their years in Arlington, Texas, where they attended Bethel Assembly of God Church. Joyce was a wonderful mother and wife who dedicated her time to keeping a well-kept and loving home. She volunteered with the children’s ministry at church and enjoyed reading, sewing, and completing crossword puzzles in her spare time.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leonard Terry Tate; her four brothers, and her son Terry Layne Tate.
Left to cherish Joyce's memory, her children, Candi Harrelson and husband Jay, Danita Rodden and husband Ferrell; grandchildren, Leonard Kevin, Buffy, Terry Michael, Stephanie, Christopher, Russell, Randy, Jennifer, and 17 great-grandchildren.
