Barbara was a graduate of Texas Christian University in 1962. She was an Elementary School Teacher for 17 years for the Arlington Independent School District. After retiring she was the driving force in her beloved grandchildren lives and education. Barbara had a passion for painting. She had a special gift in capturing the personality of the pets and people she painted. She will be missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by: her husband, of 55 years Gerald T. Wimpee; daughters, Melissa Ann Lewis and Cynthia Lynn Wimpee both of Pantego; her beloved grandchildren, Logan Wade Lewis of Dalworthington Gardens, Brooklyn Paige Wimpee of Pantego; sister in law, Wanda Thompson and extended family; as well as her companions Sarah and Lucy.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 2 PM at Moore Funeral Home.
