Bobby Eugene Britton, 92, of Fort Worth Texas passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2025. He was born on December 21,1932 in Aquilla, Texas to William and Lola (Marlar) Britton. At age 6 Bobby moved with his family from Aquilla to Dallas, Texas where he attended Adamson High School. He married the love of his life, Alice (Hulsey) Britton on February 15, 1964. They raised their only child, Cheryl (Britton) Klein in Arlington, Texas where they lived for 34 years.
Bobby worked for LTV/Vought Corporation for 42 years. He was a dedicated employee and loved his job and the life-long friendships he made there. He retired in 1991 and after retirement he and Alice enjoyed spending several years traveling together all across the US. He especially enjoyed the many cruise adventures they shared. Bob and Alice moved to Round Rock, Texas in 2004 to be near their grandchildren, then returned to the Metroplex in 2007 where they all relocated together.
In his younger days Bobby enjoyed boating, being outdoors, bowling, bike rides, and spending time at the Hulsey family cattle ranch. He was a lifelong fan of Texas Rangers Baseball and The University of Oklahoma football and basketball teams. Some of his favorite things even in his later years were his perfect cups of coffee, chocolate ice cream, his sweet treats and Merle Haggard.
Bobby was a lover of life! He always had a smile on his face and a prank to pull or joke to tell. He loved his family fiercely. His daughter, Cheryl was her Daddy's girl and he never missed an opportunity to brag about how proud he was of his son-in-law, Dennis. His 2 grandchildren, Emily and Will were truly the light of his life. Bob and Alice were never apart. They were each others everything and a very rare and beautiful example of everlasting love.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister. and countless other family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Alice Britton; daughter Cheryl Klein and son (in-law) Dennis Klein; 2 grandchildren: Emily Margaret Klein (23) and William Britton Klein (20). His family would like to personally acknowledge his at home nurse, Nancy Karanja for her loving dedication and assistance in his care and well being during his final months.
