Bobby Dean Whitlow

He was born in Dallas, Texas on February 18, 1937 to Claude and Maggie Whitlow. Bobby was raised in South Oak Cliff and graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1955.

He married Gayle Nix on August 11, 1962 and the couple had 3 children. He was a supervisor at General Motors where he worked for more than 36 years. In his spare time Bobby enjoyed church, family, hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, coaching and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior and a faithful member of Crestview Missionary Baptist Church. His family and friends will always remember him as a kind, gentle, loving man who valued hard work and honesty.

Bobby is survived in death by his wife Gayle Whitlow of Arlington, Texas; son Zach and daughter-in-law Jacque Whitlow of Mabank, Texas; daughter Dana and son-in-law Greg Dean of Mansfield, Texas; son Brian and Renay Stockard of Cranfills Gap, Texas; grandchildren Ryan Dean and wife Cristina; Cassandra Whitlow; Garrett Dean and wife Lexi; Kyle Whitlow and great grandchildren Hudson Dean and Amelia Dean; step grandchildren Ashley Burgess husband Sam; Bryant Sevell and step grandchildren Dakota, Brenden and Peyton.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Claude and Jim Whitlow; sisters Billy Kline, Mary Kennedy and Betty-Lou Bomer as well as multiple nephews and nieces and extended family members and friends.

Bobby will always be remembered as a great father, relative, friend and colleague to all that knew and cared for him. Bobby will be truly missed by many relatives and friends, cherishing all the good memories shared with him.

There are no goodbyes for us, you will always be in our hearts.

Graveside Services for Bobby Dean Whitlow will be held on Thursday, November 7 at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012.
